This page explains what happens to the information you enter in the availability request form.

What we collect: the name and contact you provide, your selected dates and number of travellers, the camper you enquire about, and any message you add.

Why: solely to answer your enquiry — to pass your request to the camper operator so they can confirm availability and send a quote.

Where it goes: your request is delivered to the LocalCamper team and recorded in our internal leads sheet, then shared with the relevant operator. We do not sell it, and we never pass your personal details to advertising platforms.

How long: we keep it only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up.

Analytics: by default PostHog records anonymous page and product interactions through our own domain, using a temporary visit id kept only in session storage — PostHog sets no cookies and nothing there follows you across sessions. We keep first- and last-touch campaign parameters in first-party browser storage so a submitted enquiry can be attributed to its source. We do not send your name, contact details or message to PostHog as separate analytics data. You can opt out of analytics at any time from the notice at the bottom of the page.

Advertising: we advertise on Google. Google's measurement tag runs on every page so that Google Ads can count how many enquiries came from an ad. Until you turn on detailed analytics it stores nothing on your device — the enquiry is reported without any identifier that could be traced back to you, and the ad click id is only ever read from the page address. If you accept, Google may also set advertising cookies. Your name, phone number and message are never sent to Google.

Session recording: session replay is off by default. Only if you switch on detailed analytics does PostHog also record a replay of your visit — mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and typing — so we can see how the site is used and fix problems. Because a recording captures what you type, the details you enter in the form, including your name, phone and message, may appear in it. Recording runs only after you turn on detailed analytics and is used only to improve the site.
